The multi-piece Daiwa Saltiga Air Portable rods are designed for uncompromising use under the toughest conditions in tropical and other big fishing destinations. With transport lengths of 67 cm to 78 cm, they enable easy transport in luggage - expensive rod transport tubes are now a thing of the past.
To ensure safe fishing for hard-fighting target fish such as GT, Tuna, Cubera, Amberjack, Rooster & Co., the rod blank, reel seat, rings and spigot connections must be of the highest quality. HVF carbon fiber blanks with X45 technology are extremely durable and torsion-resistant - precise casts and controlled bait guidance are possible at any time. The backbone of the Saltiga rods offers enormous reserves of power to control large specimens during fights and to guide them away from dangerous areas and reefs with the drag completely closed. The tip action accelerates hardbaits to very good casting distances.
Underwrapped Fuji SiC double bar K guides can withstand even the toughest loads. The V-Joint tenon joint connections are reinforced with a special BIAS carbon fiber material, resulting in incredibly robust joints with a perfectly harmonious bending pattern. The difference to a two-piece rod is hard to tell! Original Fuji reel seats with double screws permanently secure heavy stationary reels and prevent the reel from coming loose during drilling.
