The Explorer Rod from Fox is perfect for every angler who likes to go astray or doesn't know what situation he will find at the chosen spot.

You practically can't go wrong with this rod because it is extremely variable and versatile. The Explorer Rod blank is based on that of the Horizon X3, but has a unique, extendable handle section. This feature allows you to fish with this rod in two different lengths.

Thanks to the extendable handle part, you can fish at a length of 8 ft / 240 cm, or when extended at a length of 10 ft / 300 cm. Depending on the situation or conditions you currently have, you can fix the rod in one of the two lengths and immediately have the right rod at hand.

In the 10 ft version you have a wonderful and perfect spod rod with which you can also fish well for larger fish, such as sturgeon, because it is relatively stiff. However, Fox does not recommend using the 8 ft version as a spod rod. In the 8 ft version it can be used well as a stalker rod.

The rod blank, made of a high modulus carbon fiber construction, is particularly light and ideal for trips into impassable and unknown areas.

The full-length handle part is covered with a full Japanese shrink wrap and is therefore very easy to grip and non-slip, but also comfortable to hold.

The Anti Tangle tip ring allows your fishing line to slide smoothly and with little resistance, improving casting properties.
