The SG8 is a great example of how Savage Gear have developed these reels from the ground up without using any "off the shelf" technical details. This reel is a feature-packed powerhouse, constructed with a strong, rigid, yet lightweight Carbon Reinforced Composite (CRC) body and rotor. Excellent long-lasting durability is guaranteed thanks to a sealed friction control braking system that uses carbon fiber washers that provide unrivaled stiffness, smoothness and stopping power.

Impressive 10+1 stainless steel ball bearings (including two ball bearings from Japan) ensure reliable running even under heavy use. The SG8 spinning reel also has numerous other features such as a T-shaped line clip, a non-slip spool that eliminates the need for lining with monofilament line when using braided lines and an ergonomic EVA crank, these technical innovations are responsible for the Dealing with her is just fun.
