The Catana FE represents the latest development stage of a true Shimano classic. It offers an exceptional price-performance ratio and can be used for almost any freshwater application. When it comes to scanning the market for a super affordable spinning reel for spin fishing, there's no way around the Catana.

Perfect for a wide range of fishing methods from light to medium spin fishing to match and feeder fishing. Understatement in look. Convincing in performance. More roll for less money is not possible! In combination with a Shimano rod from the lower and middle price segment, a combination is created that every owner can be proud of.

When in use, you immediately notice the balance achieved by the G-Free Body. This housing design is otherwise found on higher-priced reels. Of course, it also makes fishing with our low-budget reel less tiring. The smooth running is based on the three Shimano ball bearings made of stainless steel and the ball bearing in the line roller, which literally ensures that everything goes smoothly when fighting big fish. The aluminum coil was given an AR-C design upgrade, which is otherwise known from the high-end segment. Together with Varispeed II, this spool design ensures more accurate and longer casts - with both monofilament and braid.

The biggest challenge is probably deciding on a model. There are 7 models, including some HG high-speed variants. We start with the 1000 for light finesse fishing. The upper end of the range marks the 4000, which is perfect for heavy spin fishing or feeder fishing. Whichever Catana it is - every model guarantees maximum fishing fun and many hours of fatigue-free fishing.
