By combining the new Hyper Drive Design concept with the new SV Boost Brake concept, Daiwa offers a light yet very durable Baitcast reel that has been pre-configured to achieve optimal results with various bait weights.

The Hyper Drive Design concept includes a combination of various features that optimize the lifespan, handling, and power transmission of the reel.

The new SV Boost Brake concept optimizes casting distance and reduces the risk of line tangling: The extremely light G1 Duralumin spool starts immediately without much initial resistance.

The Zero Adjuster of the mechanical spool brake is pre-set to achieve optimal casting distances. (It is recommended not to change this setting) The Zero Shaft consists of an extremely short spool shaft, which generates less friction and is thus ideal for light casting weights.

The TWS system reduces friction resistance in the line guide. The magnetic brake is adjusted for fine-tuning to the used bait weight and ensures less tangling during casting at optimized casting performance - the magnetic brake only engages reducedly in the final phase of the cast compared to the SV concept. Brake click when releasing the line via the brake.
