The rod blank is made almost indestructible by the latest WFT Never Crack technology. The tip section is elaborately constructed in WFT Never Crack solid design. Here, no actual core (mandrel) is used that is removed after curing, but instead a conical metal tube with a diameter of only 1 - 2mm remains inside the rod. The multi-layered carbon fiber laminate now forms such a strong rod that it is possible to lift a 10 kg fish into the boat without a landing net - if someone wants to do that.
