The Penn Vantage Spod carp reel is a Big-Pit reel, specifically developed for Spoding or Marker-Float fishing for carp. This Spod reel offers you everything you need for Spod methods. The Vantage Spod has been perfectly matched to Spoding and equipped by PENN with a gear ratio of 5.2:1, which means a better retrieval speed of 124 cm per turn.Three round line clips ensure perfect line lay, supported by the X-Slow Leveline oscillation system. There is no spare spool, to save costs for the angler, and the housing material is made of the incredibly stiff XRC material.
To make this reel a comfortable Spod reel, Penn has equipped it with a one-piece, machined aluminum handle with an egg-shaped knob instead of a T-knob to ensure more grip during fast retrieval.
