The Catana FE represents the latest development stage of a true Shimano classic. It offers an exceptional value for money and is suitable for almost any freshwater application. When it comes to scanning the market for a super affordable fixed spool reel for spinning, there is no way around the Catana.

Perfectly suited for a wide range of fishing methods from light to medium spinning to Match- and Feeder fishing. Understatement in look. Convincing in performance. More reel for less money is not possible! In combination with a Shimano rod from the lower and middle price segment, a combination is created that every owner can be proud of.

In use, one immediately notices the balance achieved by the G-Free Body. This housing design is otherwise found in more expensive reels. Of course, it also makes fishing with our low-budget reel less tiring. The smooth operation is based on the three Shimano stainless steel ball bearings and the ball bearing in the line roller, which also literally ensures that everything goes smoothly when fighting big fish. The aluminum spool was prescribed an AR-C design upgrade, which is otherwise known from the high-end segment. Together with Varispeed II, this spool design ensures more accurate and longer casts – with both monofilament and braid.

The biggest challenge is probably deciding on a model. There are 7 models, including some HG high-speed variants. It starts with the 1000 for light finesse fishing. The top end of the range is marked by the 4000, which is perfect for heavy spinning or Feeder fishing. Whichever Catana it may be - each model guarantees maximum fishing fun and many hours of tireless fishing.
