The Curado BFS (Bait Finesse System) was developed for fishing with light finesse lures and features a FTB brake (Finesse Tune Brake). In combination with its ultra-light and flat spool, very light lures, which push conventional low-profile Baitcasters to their limits, can be cast at a distance without any problems.

Anyone who has ever tried to cast very small and light lures with a conventional Baitcaster knows the problem. Usually, conventional Baitcasters are simply not capable of achieving acceptable casting distances with lure weights under 5g. This is where the Curado BFS comes into play.

For all Baitcast fans of finesse techniques, the Curado BFS is just the thing. The Curado BFS is ideal for targeted fishing for bass and trout. But it also copes with larger fish that have locked onto small lures. Moreover, due to its low weight, the Curado BFS can be fished super comfortably and without fatigue.

Crucial for the finesse casting performance of the Curado BFS is the FTB system of the brake. This is based on a series of magnets that are housed on the side plate opposite the crank and exert a braking force on the inner surface of the spool. By adjusting the brake, these magnets are either pushed further into the spool (more braking force) or moved away from it (less braking force).

However, there are no moving parts on the spool itself, which, along with the low weight of the spool, is also the reason for the ultra-low startup resistance. In addition, the finesse casting performance is further optimized by the S3D Spool Design and the Super Free Spool technology. Precision gears in the transmission, high-quality ball bearings, and the X-Ship technology ensure a smooth, efficient cranking performance. A lightweight Hagane Body made of aluminum further reduces the overall weight of the reel.
