The Forcemaster Catfish is Shimano's rod series for getting started in the world of catfishing. It is suitable for a variety of modern techniques, such as vertical fishing, spinning, and stationary fishing with natural baits.

All models share the exceptional Power, powerful fighting performance, and robust components, which were developed to catch Europe's largest catfish even under the toughest conditions.

To meet the various requirements of catfishing, the Forcemaster Catfish series offers custom rods that cover the common modern fishing techniques. Whether the focus is on stationary fishing in rivers or still waters, or active fishing techniques such as vertical fishing or spinning are preferred, this rod series offers the right model for it.

Whichever rod one chooses, one thing is certain, the Forcemaster Catfish lives up to its name when it comes to exerting maximum pressure during the fight, in order to tame even a monster catfish.

The extreme Power of the Forcemaster Catfish rods is based on the used Full Carbon Blanks. The result are incredibly strong and robust rods that provide the necessary Power when needed, to bring even the strongest and largest catfish under control.

All models are equipped with extremely robust Seaguide XBG Stainless Steel Guides and a super strong Shimano DPS M reel seat, which securely connects both spinning and multiplier reels with the rods. The handles on the hand part are made of high-quality EVA.

For the models for vertical fishing with Moderate-Fast Action, a contoured Split-Grip is used, which offers maximum grip even when wet. All “Lure” models for spinning have a Fast Action Blank with a split grip, while the “Static” rods for stationary fishing are equipped with a Moderate-Fast Action Blank and a continuous EVA handle. A rubber gimbal improves comfort in the fight with all rods from the series.
