Product information "Shimano Talica 50II A 2-Speed"

Shimano
Talica II A

Maximum Power & Precision for Big Game Fishing!

The newly developed Shimano Talica A once again sets the standard in the premium segment of 2-speed lever drag multi-reels. With its combination of ultra-smooth operation, enormous braking power and innovative technology, it is the first choice for demanding Big-Game and Offshore anglers.

Thanks to the new Infinity Drive technology from Shimano, the side load in the gearbox is significantly reduced. The result: up to 40% lighter cranking, even under high load and in tough fighting situations. Ideal for battling with large tunas, marlins, or deep-sea predators.

The further developed Cross Carbon brake ensures a silky-smooth operation and delivers a maximum braking force of up to 66 lbs (approx. 30 kg). In combination with the lower ratio in low gear as well as the optimized crank design (depending on the model), the Talica A offers superior retrieval power and absolute control during the fight.

For maximum durability, the new Talica A is equipped with X-Protect technology. This ensures high water resistance at critical points and reliably protects the internals from saltwater – without compromising the light, smooth gear feel.

Additional flexibility is provided by the included Light-Line Drag Cam, which allows for a finer, more progressive braking curve – perfect for anglers fishing with lighter line classes who do not want to sacrifice power.
