The Shimano Vanquish FA Competition Edition was developed for spinning anglers who demand maximum feedback, quick response, and precise control in finesse fishing. As part of the Magnumlite series, it combines an ultralight magnesium Hagane body with a CI4+ rotor, enabling fatigue-free fishing with jigs, microbaits, and UL rigs for perch, trout, and pike-perch.

Thanks to the latest MGL rotor generation with asymmetric design, titanium bail, and lightweight line roller unit, the reel runs extremely smoothly and responds very directly to every crank movement. HAGANE Gear, MicroModule II, X-Ship, InfinityXross, and InfinityDrive together ensure smooth, powerful operation, high durability, and efficient power transmission – even under intense competition use.

For thin PE lines (approx. 0.6–1.0), the Vanquish Competition offers state-of-the-art line lay: InfinityLoop, Long Stroke AR-C Spool, and Anti-Twist Fin improve casting distance, casting accuracy, and reduce line twist and tangles. Rigid Support Drag with Duracross drag discs provides a finely adjustable, stable brake.

X-Protect, SA-RB ball bearings, and the G Free Body increase durability, protection against water and dirt, as well as the reel’s balance on the rod blank. Available in C2000, C2500, and 2500 with standard and HG gear ratios – each with a shallow spool for thin braided lines – this spinning reel is a precise tool for demanding finesse and tournament fishing.
