The Vengeance Stand-Up Spiral is a very affordable rod designed for tuna drifting in the Mediterranean. It is equipped with a unique spiral ring arrangement, which significantly improves action under extreme stress. One should not be deceived by the affordable price of the Vengeance Stand-Up Spiral rods. It may be our entry-level stand-up rod, but it can compete in terms of Power with its much more expensive siblings in the Shimano range. These unique rods were developed by experts for targeted fishing for tuna in the Mediterranean area, to have an affordable solution for trolling in the range. Under stress, the line follows the bend curve of the blank through the spiral arrangement of the rings, keeping the line away from the blank, which in turn allows for better action with minimal lateral twisting, so that one can exert maximum pressure during the fight. With a Vengeance rod, one can be confident that the blank is up to any challenge. And it has to be, because no Mediterranean predator fish has the Power, speed, and determination of an angry tuna during the fight. Equipped with a very strong Shimano Hardlite ring arrangement, suitable for monofilament and braided lines, and a Shimano aluminum reel holder that securely holds even the largest multiplier reel. Despite their undeniable Power, the two models from the Vengeance range maintain great action under extreme stress during the fight and performed very well in tests compared to more expensive rods. The one-piece rods are available in 50lb and 80lb configurations. An ergonomic EVA handle ensures that the rods remain securely in hand even under maximum stress.
