Trakker Captive Backweights are designed to lower the line near the tip of the rod and keep it out of the way. The reliable gate-latch closure system ensures smooth, secure release, and the smooth wrap-around shape ensures that the line unwinds as the backweight slides along the main line.A 1 m long piece of extra heavy Leadfree Leader is spliced to the end of the backweight to keep the line close to the bottom of the water; this significantly reduces tangling, which is common with conventional systems. Following the sinking, Leadfree Leader section is a 9-meter long, UV-reactive red Hi-Viz line that glows under UV light, making it easy to find even in poor light conditions. You can attach the wrap plate to snags, position it under the bite indicators, or anchor it in the ground. To pack up, simply rewind the line onto the wrap plate, and the backweight can be easily hooked into the slot with the gate-latch closure for easy storage.
