Trakker Captive Backweights are designed to lower the line near the tip of the rod and keep it out of the way. The reliable gate-latch closure system ensures smooth, secure release, and the smooth winding board shape ensures that the line unwinds as the backweight slides along the main line.A 1 m long piece of extra heavy Leadfree Leader is spliced at the end of the backweight to keep the line on the bottom of the water body; this significantly reduces tangling, which is common with conventional systems. Following the sinking, Leadfree Leader section is a 9 meter long, UV-reactive red Hi-Viz line that glows under UV light, making it easy to find even in poor light conditions. You can attach the winding board to snagears, position it under the bite indicators, or anchor it in the ground. To pack, simply wind the line back onto the winding board, and the backweight can be easily hung in the slot with the gate-latch closure, so you can easily store it.
